A domain name is essentially a signpost on the Internet. Every website you've ever been to, and every e-mail
you've ever composed has used a domain name in its address.
People register domain names in order to
'stake a claim' to a particular name -- whether for business or personal reasons. Once a domain name is registered
to a person or company, it is theirs to use exclusively as long as they continue to pay the renewal fees.
(Some domains require you to meet certain criteria before the domain can be registered).
For a website and/or email services to function you need both a registered domain name and some type of hosting.
Domain Transfers
We register domain names from new, but you can also transfer your existing domain names to WebAccess so you
can take advantage of our competitive pricing and manage all your domains easily in one place. Usually the cost
to transfer is the same as the minimum registration/renewal period and cost.
However .au domain names are
completely FREE to transfer at any time and only incur cost when registered or renewed.
Domain Management
This interface is used to modify contact information and to delegate your domain name to nameservers. If you need to manage any aspect of your hosting / email packages you will need to login to the hosting control panel instead.
